MORE BRICKS!

I do like a good brick stack...

The first here is a partially demolished boiler house that had been on my photographic radar for some time. Built in the mid-late 1940s, it formed part of the plasterboard factory for Australian Plaster Industries Ltd and was in regular operation for over twenty years. A Victorian Heritage listing in 2009 saved it during demolition and it is now only a shell of its former self.

The second is the sole remaining section of an old gasworks; these days graffitied and very colourful. Though you could in fact enter the base of the brick stack (albeit with difficulty, it was a quite a small entrance), the top is blocked so regrettably no look-up shot would have been possible.
