As the story goes, the land was bought by European immigrants who wanted a large house that connected them with their homeland and to accommodate what they hoped would be a large family in Australia. But they weren't able to have children and in the end they passed away and the house went to ruinas you see here from above. The large statues out the front were defaced then stolen and only the plinths remain. Nowadays the entire house is trashed beyond belief...

 

Great architecture? Hardly. But it is a shame a couple's dream for the future devolved into this...
